Air duct cleaning in Port Charlotte is worth doing in the right situations, and we will tell you when it is not. Clean ducts do not need cleaning every year. Some homes clearly do.
Good reasons to clean: after a renovation that threw drywall dust through the house, after water damage or a roof leak that wet the ducts, when you can see mold on supply registers, when pests have been in the ductwork, or when a home sat closed for a long time and smells musty on start-up.
We use a negative air machine that puts the duct system under suction, then run rotary brushes and air whips through each run to knock debris loose so it gets pulled out. We clean the supply and return plenums, the registers and grilles, and the blower compartment. A dirty blower wheel alone can cut airflow noticeably.
Flex duct needs a lighter touch than metal. Aggressive brushing can tear the inner liner, so we adjust tools to the duct type.
